If Ford's Gym is old school, the Chakra House is new age. The "healing studio" in the south side Bay Creek neighborhood opened in December and offers classes in Zumba (a fitness program that incorporates Latin dance), Nia (a blend of martial arts, dance and yoga) and several varieties of yoga as well as private sessions of chakra balancing and energy healing.
Owner Tina Bensman calls herself a "skeptic psychic." She doesn't see dead people, she said; essentially, she's simply extra sensitive to the frequencies of energy that collect and move between people.
